LOTs On Health
HIV Recovering Patients Program entails the creation and management of a halfway house for recovering HIV Patients after being treated for certain qualified opportunistic infections (OIs). The program will provide free housing, food, counselling, and other activities essential to recovering HIV Patients who are unsupported and/or driven out by their families for various reasons such as stigma. The program’s duration is estimated to last for 6-9 months until the recovering HIV Patient has fully recovered and successfully reintegrated back to society. Initially targeted to cover or support 3-5 recovering patients at a time.
LOTs On Education
LOTS High School Scholarship program aims to form and manage an online platform where LOTS members can sponsor high school students who are pre-qualified candidates for the scholarship program. This would utilize legacyofthesmall.org as an online mechanism to upload the profiles of candidates taken from partner schools, and for LOTS members to choose the scholars they want to support. The competitive advantage of LOTS High School Scholarship Program is the monitoring capability of the platform which strengthens the sponsor-scholar bond through filtered communication via the LOTS website.
LOTs On Environment
LOTS Community Waste Management Program involves establishing and running a holistic approach to community-based waste management. Primarily focused on recycling and waste segregation, the program involves the installation of a uniquely designed recycling station at no initial cost to the homeowners’ association/barangay. Using the proceeds generated by the recycling station, the homeowners’ association/barangay will pay LOTS the cost of the installation on equal instalments or staggered payments, whichever is agreed upon by LOTS and the homeowners’ association/barangay. LOTS will also conduct three-prong trainings to the community (involving the community leaders, the whole neighborhood, and the waste collectors) to ensure proper education, enforceability and sustainability.
